I look back on this fondly. I was about… maybe five or six when I discovered this channel? I remember this specific video. Something in my brain remembered every minute, each sound you did, each action, I even anticipated some of the scenes… I’ll watch these videos to keep me sane for a while, in trying times. Thanks for the memories…

This book has been one of the hugest inspirations in my life. I think about this video from time to time, and watched it again now that I've gotten into scrapbooking and I am still completely in awe. Stupendous work, you are one of the artists that heavily inspire me

I still love coming back to this beautiful video almost 11 years later... and I love what you did to alter the book. Btw there's a very amusing review of this book on Amazon (the one review it has - apparently not a popular book).

This is what i call an {Oldie but Goodie}! (Can't believe you made it over 2 years ago actuall.) Always good to go back to this video and just to listen to all the different sounds. The One Woman makes me calm & sleepy. Thanks ones again dear. :) xo

I've sat down no fewer than 2 dozen times attempting to do altered book art or art journaling and I always end up quitting because I feel so overwhelmed by all the options and I'm not creative enough, or something like that. I love seeing all your art. It's inspiring!
@whisperbooks13 жыл бұрын
LOVED this (even though the defacing of the book makes me a tiny bit sad, haha). When you were tapping/scratching the little (metal?) clock, I got total shivers, and I have never actually gotten shivers from an asmr video before. So, bravo! And thanks for making this :)

@Bhav341 It is coral! Good call. Yeah, I've seen a lot of altered book projects- many people turn them into jurnals or sketchbooks or whatever- which is totally cool- but I don't journal very much, and I think my multimedia is better than my drawing, so I decided to just fill the whole thing. It's a REALLY fun process, I reccomend giving it a shot!

@SilentCitadel13 жыл бұрын
@celena028 Yes, I altered this book. All the art I show on this channel is my own :). It's called an "altered book" and it's like using pages of an old book as small art canvases. If you google altered book, you'll be AMAZED by some of the stuff people do with crappy novels and outdated textbooks. Way cool. Thank you!
@RissaStar9511 жыл бұрын
I just love this! How did you make the window? It looks like you added extra pages in and glued them somehow but I don't know how you would cut the window in with all the glue that you would be cutting through? I wanted to make something similar because this inspired me so much. =]

did you add any extra pages in? and I normally use elmers glue mixed with water to make my own modge podge. Will that work? Thanks :)
@SilentCitadel13 жыл бұрын
@LittleSoundsMonkey No. It's all kind of meant to be vaguely 'girl power' but really really loosely- it's not terribly cohesive, though I've tried to sort of make it all match at least a little. Some of the 2 page speads are meant to be a single piece, whereas others are individual and seperate. Thanks for asking :)
