In a similar 'fucking awesome acoustic guitar playing' vein, I highly encourage checking out 'Passionflower' by Jon Gomm.

Guys you need to check out Rick Beato's channell talking to Mike about this song, he explains his thoughts and process creating this. Even a producer/professor of music is amazed. Well worth a visit.

Not asking you to react but Scottish folk/indie band Astec Camera did a great cover of this back in 1983.
@JohnM...2 жыл бұрын
I thought it was good, but a little slow and kinda 'suicidal'. I think they should try reacting Aztec Camera's "walk out to winter." Btw, the singer Roddy Frame went through same school as me! Edit: So did 3 of the members of the Jesus and Marychain.

Not sure you guys know this, but even more astonishing is that Mike is playing everything you hear all at the same time. The only thing he uses are effects pedals to adjust the guitar tone through the track. The guitar parts, base line and drumming/tapping are all done at once, no overdubbing. He replicates this live and solo on stage with no backing track. He is an absolute guitar genius. And this tribute to EVH is the best tribute I've ever seen for anyone we've lost. EVH and his music are something to be treasured, and so is this.

I got to see him live in ‘22. He opened for and accompanied Justin Hayward, of Moody Blues fame. Mike is the most genuine, kind and sweet person you’d ever want to meet! Then, you know he’s, arguably, the best acoustic guitar player on this planet of Earth!

If you loved this. You guys definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely need to check out JON GOMM - PASSIONFLOWER. I accidentally saw him play it live, and it blue me away. An absolute belter of a song and a masterclass in guitar playing.

This is fcuking *Transcendent* ....& refreshingly, considering his ridiculous levels of guitar mastery, Mike is one of those rare, genuinely good-hearted, thoroughly decent, blokes. For anyone interested, he did a great livestream with Michael Palmisano on Michael's channel which is informative, giving recommendations of some of his also-ridiculously-talented guitar playing buddies, as well as explaining how he does some of what he does.... & you get a sense of what I'm saying about him just being a good dude! :)

If ye really wanna check out extraordinary Acoustic Guitaring and Guitar Tapping, should check out "Tommy Emmanuel". He Is Brilliant !!! Also,,, if ye wanna delve further back check out "John Martyn". Innovative in starting using Echo, Fuzz & Phaser Effects on Acoustic Guitars in the late 60's / early 70's. .

Check out his video of somebody that I used to know solo guitar, he's done metallica also. His playing is amazing, hammering on with the left hand while playing open strings with the right as well as adding all sorts of harmonics and slides as well as percussion using the body of the guitar, it's fucking mental, the guys is legend.

What's the point oif reacting to stuff no one else has seen? we are supposed to have seen it, but you have not seen it. so we can react to you seeing it , that''s the whole point of reacting.
