THANK YOU. This will help me restart the sitting I've stopped for many years. Thank you, Tara for your generosity. I was fortunate to sit with you at UBC Asian Centre many years ago. Now, life circumstances find me in an almost isolated, challenging, stressful town in southern Argentina and I'm relying on internet to reconnect with what has been a blessing in my life in Vancouver. Much Metta to you and all beings.

Hello Tara🌹 I am so blessed to have discovered you and your teachings for tranquility and loving kindness for myself and others. I have become awakened to my presence of mind and body. I will continue with my studies of mindfulness as I follow your lead. I also have a wonderful counselor who encourages me to continue daily meditations with you. Having grace of being able to sit for few 10 days vipassana course really a Life changing experience compared to other Meditation. •guided, well structured overall •Takes you in Real DEEP •Transferrable to daily life •Free accomodation, food and facilities. Private room with shower, bed, meditation seat etc •like a vacation over a week but this can benefit you, your lineages and others around you •Ground you in Equanimity, harmony and peace. Helps with ASCENSION! I highly Recommend This Technique and method of going about the meditation overall. No phones, no talking, fully focused inward towards Innerstanding and Inner connection with highest truth. Book a 10 days course nearby you now! Nothing beats having a temporary life of a full-time monk towards buddhahood

One is advised to bring the mind back to observation of the breath instantly if it thinks of anything other than the breath. So, how can insight into anything occur if no thinking is allowed? Thanks.

Is this actually vipassana tho? My understanding is that you don’t control the breath or visualization of relaxation. It’s a lovely guided meditation but None of this was taught during my 10 day sit

No, this actually isn't.

Is this Vipassana? I attended a 10-day course at a Dhamma center based on S.N. Goenka's teachings. During the course, we were instructed to simply observe body sensations without reacting to them or judging them. We were told not to crave pleasant sensations either. The practice began with Anapana meditation for concentration and then progressed to observing body sensations from top to bottom and vice-versa. I am confused about what this practice is all about. Could you please clarify?

Goenka's type of Vipassana isn't the only type of Vipassana out there. Some say that his type isn't the Vipassana that Buddha taught (which he claims)
