Tara Donovan | Living St. Louis

Living St. Louis Producer Jim Kirchherr meets Tara Donovan during her visit to the St. Louis Art Museum. Donovan, a contemporary artist from New York, has two of her pieces are on display in the museum. She uses everyday items and consumer goods, such as plastic straws and cups, to create her towering sculptures that are creating quite a buzz in the art community.

WHile I'm glad to find this video, it doesn't begin to do the work justice. I just saw her exhibit at the ICA in Boston - about 10 pieces in all -- and I was floored. She's the Andy Goldworthy of detritus. I was blown away!
