Absolutely 💯 amazing. To get out of a very deep CFS hole! I know that I could never have coped without the amazing support from my husband a few friends and groups like this. Unfortunately my family don't really get it but that's not for me to judge because some people either can't cope with it, can't really understand it or are poorly misinformed by uneducated professionals who sadly also did not get taught the knowledge when studying medicine! Talk about, do your head in let alone the illness! I used to get angry but part of my healing was to accept that it is a complex illness for me so why not the on lookers? But you definitely need one person that believes and really validates your illness. It gave me the endurance to begin healing. I hope this helps someone. Finding a person with similar CFS symptoms and mindset on how to get better really helps too. Huge congratulations Tara. Your a legend and thankyou Toby for saving lives. ❤️

I liked hearing Toby talk about the mini, micro adjustments/adaptations to build resilience over time. I am building a good baseline plan, ...but I can also see where it is too much of one thing or deficient of another. As of now it is consistently unsustainable. But I've gotten a few "a-ha" moments here from Tara... where now I can tweak and adjust my plan for the better. Thank you for such a fabulous episode!❤❤❤

WOW!! Tara Such a powerful episode of recovery and resilience and persistence, and the willingness to be vulnerable, letting go and leaning in. It really does take a lot to trust yourself and trust others again when you’re going through this. I just can’t say enough. There’s just so much that I got from this today. 🙏 52:30 #CFS Health And Tobey and the amazing team. I have not been in the program long.. I’m learning every day ❤️ I’ve looking forward to the kick starter call today.

Tara mentioned that she needs to avoid some places in Austin. This strikes a chord with me having needed to travel to Austin twice in the last 6 months for cardiac procedures-Austin itself is triggering for me! But now, with this behind me, I’m considering whether it would be a better time to participate in a program. Earlier, with so much cardiac stuff going on, I didn’t feel like I could give the necessary focus to a program.

When I hear people say they were devistated that it would take 6-12 months to recover, I know they havent been where some of us have, either in depth or duration. I would have been elated if i knew there was a way to get to 50% in 5 years. If you feel this way too don't feel alone.

I laughed when she said that all her supplements went down to fish oil and vit B. Same for me. I found that those two things were huge game changers. Not all the crazy herbs and unusual supplements that people said to take. Back when I was really sick and in pain...I tried just about anything. So relatable....this video.

I would have liked to hear more from Tara... on how she got herself to do things on days that were really difficult. Did she constantly remind herself why she was doing all this? How did she talk to herself during this time? What did she say? Did she use little tricks? (if you do this for 2 min then you can rest for 10 min), Etc. I find after pushing myself so hard for years... that now i listen when I'm tired and stop. But now it's harder to "make" myself do things when I'm tired and painful.

Learning to have a complete focus on what is positive and what is working was very hard. And I still go up and down. But I’ve had to learn to really watch my thoughts and consciously shift what I’m paying attention to. Some days were so dark and so lonely that I definitely did not want to get out of bed. Being so tired by the end of the day that I just wanted to lay on the floor happened many evenings. One of the thing the program focuses on, is that you share your wins and not focus as much on the struggles. I think that was a tremendous insight for me.

@@taraputnam9152 Thank you so much Tara for replying personally to my question. I completely agree with you about focusing on the positive gains vs the "misery of defeat"...lol. I am usually a positive person and don't spend much time dwelling on the pain and exhaustion. But I guess I was thinking of how to consistently do my baseline activities when I've basically conditioned myself to rest when I'm feeling worse than normal. That total exhaustion, when you can barely get up to go to the bathroom.... how to still push myself to go for a walk or houseclean. Thank you again for your reply.

@@taraputnam9152 I guess I just realized I'm working off the "trade off" system.... so I'm not sure how that is in relation to baseline practice. Example... I have to get home insurance today... so rather than do my 5 min morning walk.... I save up my energy for my appt. I know I will be doing that movement when I go to my appt today. I'm still getting my 5 min (or more) of movement, but it's not my baseline activity. So how does that relate to baseline consistency? Maybe it's my mindset of not doing one activity...to save up energy for another activity that is more important and necessary. I find myself having to do this almost every day... which leads to inconsistency in my baseline goals.
@taraputnam9152

Trade offs are hard. But that is exactly what I did. An appointment one day OR an hour of therapy OR a short event meant be gentle and very little for a couple of days after to recover. Little by little you will be able to do a little more. It took me a year from one pound weights only one set every other day and stretching the next day to going out and about freely. 💕💕

@@taraputnam9152 You have done so well and accomplished so much!! I am so very happy for you! And thank you for the reinforcement. I was worried that the trade off technique was detrimental to my baseline.... but it sounds like if I can just continue to be consistent with some type of movement every day.... and gradually build up.... it should still work. Thank you! Best Wishes for an exceptional life for both you and your daughter!!! ❤️

I have heard it a lot of times you telling do 50% of what you think you could do. I think today I have understood it. I can see now what made me crashing last week and the times before. I just have not to do the other 50%. Being aware of the point when the first half is reached. Finding a strategy to get it. Probably a plan to make before starting activity. Thank you. Send tons of love to you both.

This is what can happen when you've got the best support 27/7. Most people can't afford this. She still has bad days so is not cured. And when the course ends? I imagine that would start to feel very different. It'll just come back eventually.

Hi. I ended the course several months ago. I do have bad days. Just like regular people 💕 definitely healed and healthy. I did not have 24/7 support at all. Not sure what your referring to. CFS health is not a 24/7 program but a community with lots of knowledge and support on how to heal from CFS ❤ Much kindness to you.

Thanks for reaching out. And I’m glad that my story was helpful to hear. I do believe recovery would be possible with just Toby. My family was able to come every once a while and help for a couple of days every few months. Which was a huge support. However, where I live, I no longer had any friends or people to help out in anyway close by. the program truly guided me into finding out how to help my self be able to get to healing. Much kindness and so much healing. Love to you.

Chronic fatigue syndrome doesnt exist. M.E however does and just like M.S there is no cure or recovery. Anyone who says that just had basic chronic fatigue that can go with any other illness. Stop spreading lies its hard enough to live with this.
