What was she like?

I met Tara when I was like 10 at a convention & I remember overhearing her talk to a kid about trying to get into voice acting. She encouraged the kid to really go for acting classes before anything else & the kid looked so sad. For a long time I thought it sounded mean since I was so young & I thought she was just trying to discourage new voiceover actors. I realized a short while later what she really meant was to make sure you’re a good actor first, then try voice acting. I’ve watched a few animated shows/movies & played games where the actor is SO bad at emoting solely through their voice & it just ruins the end product. I have so much respect for her now, not only because she was a huge part of my childhood & she’s such a sweetheart irl, but now I recognize the talent needed to do what she does. I always get excited when I hear her in something now because I just know it’ll be good 💜
