I been using a smart bass 5k for about 1.5 yrs now. Maybe more. It puts the power down every single day flawlessly. I've got Xv3 12's.

@Kpaceguy I did shake some components lose a bit and had to re-hot glue alot of areas 🤦‍♂️ maybe it just happens over time. But I noticed when I did a be-build. I looked cuz when I was using my smart 3k I'd get a whine for like 20 secs when I turned it on. I asked barevids and he told me a component was lose. So I reinforced the with the hot glue and it really solved the problem lol. And it's in one of my other cars till this day. I've been strictly dailying the smart lineup for since the smart 3k came out. And never failed me even once!

time for lithium. get some headways. the cost to build it cost less than the yellowtop battery. the headways also run at 13.8v so you can run them on stock electrical. 1 8pack of headways is good for 3k-5k watts. i like the fullbridge design, i powerful and compact but damn taramps your fans are so loud and why are they always on

The single input is because they are sensitive to high preamp voltage. That’s what kills them.

Question….. I have a 2014 Audi Q7, I think my alternator is 180 amps. I wanna run a skat audio sk3500 amp plus 4 channel amp, 2 VXF 12’s. Can I get away with just a extra battery?

That Smart 5k does 5700 to clip @ 1ohm, and 3600 @ 4ohms to account for impedance rise, thats enough to blow the XV3, and poss. the ZV6, if someone didnt watch for clipping. Im glad this guy has the 608 that watches for clipping, and backs off the input when it needs to. I seen another guy with a youtube ch = SingleSubScrub, that smoked his XV3 with this amp, but he is very hard on his stuff.

No I chose not to go for the bass version. It didn't push as much power as the smart 5k and I like that I get full power at 12.6v instead of 14.4 AND I get max power at 1 AND 2 ohms for box rise.

they are cheap full bridge design amps made in brazil. its cheap because it uses less materials compare to the half bridge amps. that said you cant really abuse these amps compare to the more robust half bridge

Yup and just like everything else you take care of it it will last because I’m going on 3 years and beat my bass 5k daily I mean I put it to the test and all I do is drive now do I want to spend money to beat up on anything to the point we’re it blows no push anything to it’s limits it will mess up! Why would you want to over kill something but your points are valid to some degree! I wonder what your going to say?
