An outstanding documentary about the great architect Pugin. I did not know of him until seeing a suggested video here on YT. Sad that his accomplishments were not truly appreciated during his lifetime, but as the narrator says, his work reshaped what England looks like today, so in that way, this outstanding architect is immortalized.

Man, I wish we could have Pugin back, just so he could right a review of the absolutely horrific modern architects/architecture whose reputation BBC seems desperate to revive.

Oh I love the Mc of the film .He's just cute ,tall ,big ...I love the conversation between him and the vica ,the vica's just handsome too .I love him best the moment he lose a little his balance when his leg touch a certain tomb outside the church .Oh, remember me to him .Thank you so much

My lord! Well put! Big Ben makes you proud to be British and as a Yankee I'm not jealous. No. Our country had many reasons to be of monumental aid to Britain during world war II and undoubtedly Big Ben (and alot of other architecture in England) was far to great and I dare say too sacred to lose to some psychopaths Nazi bomb. I know we have no claim to Britain but I like to think we are closest to being alike in values and principles.

Pugin would turn in his grave if he could see the edifice now constructed next to the Palace of Westminster - the truly dreadful Portcullis House, which is nothing more than a dire intrusive facade.
