Absolutely splendid. After a long day hunting, one needs to unwind in a palatial residence.

Good news. The house is being restored by English Heritage. Not done yet, but saved from further damage with an all new roof!

The best documentary on this house is included in “The Country House Revealed”, covering four grand homes not open to the public, broadcast 11 years ago. Photography and narration is flawless.

Great. Country house. Today the owners of this house could lease out portions of the estate to individual wealthy families and companies. It will be as leasing luxury apartments to wealthy Tennants. . Proceeds from the lease payment will finance the maintenance and keep the profit.

The house needs to be powerwashed. It looks beautiful, but would be even more so if it was clean.

The house is showing a century of being in the middle of a coal burning area so it all needs a good power wash to spruce it back up a little its now showing age with the sut covered exterior.

Just not getting this. Love architecture but clearly what we’re dealing with here is grandiose pathology. So this is less architectural history than abnormal psychology.
