Whoo I'm very happy to see some more tarantula content! I just got a bunch of tarantulas this Christmas and they're so cool! I got Harpactira pulchripes, Haplocosmia himalayana, and 8 Pterinopelma sazimai slings 😊 (I got those as freebies while getting the first two). I love tarantulas because unlike most exotic animals they are very easy to take care of and don't take up too much space, but are equally as cool. I got into the tarantula hobby last summer and now I have 17 of them, if things keep going this way I'll have a whole minizoo in the future lol 😅

Thank you Dayyan. 😊✌🏼 I love how you have empathy for the feeders too, I'm the same with the creatures I feed to my beardie. I feel bad for them but I know it's part of life. I would definitely keep silk worms for a pet. As a matter of fact when my girls were at school, the school had a mulberry tree and the school staff collected silk worms and mulberry leaves and sent them home with some students. Sorry if my comment last invert video made it seem that I was agreeing with anyone who thinks you do these things for the content. Definitely nope from me. I like all of your content and it's your love for these animals that really makes your content *chef's kiss* prime. I think what I was saying is something about creep factors and that people have varying opinions on kinds of animals. I've always loved both sides of content, "creepy" and "wholesome." To me, crocodile skinks are incredibly wholesome. Heck they look like they are smiling little dragons. Feeding videos would be considered creepy, but I still love it. I think I said something about having two channels. I was just sharing my opinion. My opinions come out as advice because I teach for a living and that's a hard habit to notice or break. You're the best keeper in this hobby in my opinion. You know your stuff and you're always a joy to watch. I recommend your content to anyone who I think could benefit from learning about the hobby or life science in general.

@Reptiliatus11 ай бұрын
I usually offer uvb to all my reptiles/amphibians but I have been hesitant to offer my croc skinks in the leap habitats uvb because the enclosures might get too hot with the leds and the fact the rack unit is setup in a closet space (more inclosed walls. The other croc skinks have 6% uvb over them all. I haven’t noticed any differences in health, etc between the groups but I always advocate offering the right level of uvb to your pet herps whenever possible :).

🤣 mmm gummy. a fave for my bigger tarantulas right after a molt, especially my t vagans. my avic avic is convinced that they're the devil tho. i decided going into keeping tarantulas, that if any molt out male and are a less commonnly available captive species i'll send him off to live his best life with a breeder, but otherwise, the sex doesn't matter except for potential lifespan expectation setting. i see a lot of folks cycle in the hobby, overload themselves by going full pokemon (gotta keep e'm all!) when they're slings while forgetting that little 1/4" darling is going to need a 10 gallon enclosure at adult size, and having to downsize as they mature for space reasons alone. QOTD, probably silkworms. they're neat and the cocoons are a source for spinning silk, yes even if they moth out. i've kept a few hornworms through their metamorphosis and the moth is gorgeous.
