Tara...I'm a 79 year old retired singer/songwriter/performer/teacher. I must tell you that you have much to be proud of in this performance. I've heard you sing several times. This performance proves that you are a top-flight singer. You really have it all to be a highly recognized and popular singer. I know it would change your life enormously, but you do have all it would take to pursue a bit of that world. You are also a great teacher which I enjoy a great deal. I appreciate your honesty and willingness to let yourself be vulnerable. Thanks so much for this "One Take Wonder" and much love and blessings to you.

That’s amazing, that you found the word “funny” very hard to do, lol. It’s a testament to how skilled Faouzia is, that even a voice teacher had to struggle on it.

Aahh so fascinating!! (You did so good, like SO good.) No kidding - I KNEW you'd talk about the "funny" note because singing this song myself, that's been the hardest part for me. The 'f' - even morphed into a 'v' - is... wow. Not a big friend.

i do not think this makes you a narcissist. i think if you were my vocal coach a) I would want to know you can actually singing and b) for someone who can’t afford vocal lessons it helps so much to know why you did certain things. You can give tips by watching other people sing, but when you critique yourself you can tell us what you were thinking and why you did certain things. So i would like to say thank you !!! ❤❤❤❤

I need you to coach me… I’m deaf and because of that I can be insecure with knowing if I’m singing the right note. I sang in chorus in high school and my teacher was patient with me and helped me to sing notes I can’t even hear. I think you are the perfect coach for me as I continue to grow. I’m a TARABYTE for life 💯
@AmyAndThePup2 жыл бұрын
May I ask you something? Are you profoundly deaf, or severely hard-of-hearing? How do you get help to find the hright notes? I'm hard-of-hearing (30-70DB losses spread out differently between both ears), so I can hear the notes, but what you said made me very curious. I hope it's all right that I asked.

Such a great voice! Seriously much different then the performance from the X factor ( just a comparison ) Maybe its just me but the maturity gives you such a tone and tambour, then again isn't music so subjective to those of us who hear it. Anyway great performance, now I must hear Faouzia's version and that's a good thing. Thank you Tara for giving us a beautiful rendition. Stay safe and much love to you and yours.

Truly, you did a phenomenal job. I'm impressed, and I applaud your work here, even if it wore you out! :) I'm really amazed. I don't know how much practice it would take to do some of what you did here, but I imagine it'd take hours of work. This was intense. Amazing work. It makes me tired just listening! I don't know how to do those intentional breaks, and don't think I could do the runs. Maybe I'm tense. Maybe it's not being trained. I want to share where I am just in case someone else may feel the same. I apologize profusely if it comes across as be being a downer, but I do want to be honest. I feel like it's not possible for me to sing that way, and it's intimidating to even want to try. Being self-conscious all the time is so debilitating. I wish I had the money, and didn't feel so freaking embarrassed; I would take lessons if I could. But I don't know if I could do them online or not. I'm blind, so I can't watch body language or facial expressions. All I have to go off of is your words and your singing, and hers. *i've been asked often how I type. I use a regular QWERTY keyboard on my PC, and it's all muscle memory. It's not amazing--it's how a lot of people were taught, i.e. not looking down at your keyboard. I'm sorry for that bit, but I get asked it a TON, so I've decided that when/if I share that I'm blind, I'm going to add it to my comments. :)
@mariakochanska11472 жыл бұрын
I feel exactly the same! My dream is to one day be able to sing this song and nail it, but for now it feels almost impossible... BUT I must say that the more I practice the more I understand how I can have control over how I sound, and I definitely see an improvement today comparing to recordings of myself from a couple of years ago. So there is hope! We just have to keep practicing and enjoying the ride. Not everyone was born with a voice like Faouzia, but I really believe that anyone can have super fun while singing, which in the end is what matters the most right!? :) I think that music is like sports, half of it is practice and technique and the other half is all the psychological work and breaking mental barriers. We'll get there 💪. Many hugs from Poland! ☀️🎵🎶
