The thing that bothers me is, why would anyone who wanna fake having a scar choose such a weird shape color and placement. My theory is that maybe the first version of the scar was fake and painted on but then, after she got a lot of hate, she flet the need to prove people wrong and chemicaly burned her skin trying to make the scar real?

As a recently relapsed self-harmer, yes scars do change. But they don't move. In one picture, the skin is totally clear where there was a scar yesterday, and the scar is in a place which was clear yesterday.

Chemical ones DO. I have self made wounds all over my body but I’ve never poured boric acid into an open wound( intentionally) many chemical burn patients have necrosis that spreads where the chemical continues to do damage. It happens in EMS all the time

It's incredibly obvious what is happening here... she had a real scar, got a lot of attention, it faded dramatically, and now she's drawing it on. It's incredibly obvious to everyone who isn't trying to earn "good guy" points for protecting someone's "feelings."

So I don’t think she should get called out for have a “fake” scar because the scar is real, she should get called out for enhancing the scar and trying to make it more noticeable. a board certified dermatologist has seen enough crazy shit to know that when it comes to people’s bodies and personal health, even when you think you’re in a controlled environment, and actually have a full story, can always surprise you. Especially mentioning chemical burns and the unpredictability of them. She’s smart enough to know that she doesn’t know and not spread misinformation where she has undoubtedly been proven wrong before. When an active and damaging chemical is wreaking havoc inside the body from seeping in through anything breaking the skin barrier- you really never know.
