The time while exploring the Roland MC-707, I go over some of the knob functionality, and talk about Motion Recording and editing. A little bit about the Motion Designer to end things, nice and short this time.

Before watching your video I literally spent most of my evening trying to figure out how to do this. Thank you. You just saved me a world of stress

Oh cool so you have a clip/track lfo that’s programmable. How’s effect switching on this thing , can they be per clip and if so are tails etc cut dead ?

I would love to see a second layer of assignable/motion recordable knobs added in a firmware upgrade. Maybe like hold Function and turn a knob or something

Hey. Thanks for the video. I was looking for a way to delete motion records and found out other cool stuff. Do you know how to delete the motion automation after being recorded?
@jackyzara2 жыл бұрын
Came back to answer my question in case anybody is interested: you delete motion by pressing both of the motion buttons (On+Rec) and moving the motion knob you want to delete at the same time :-)

How do I turn off velocity sensitive on pads? Is that in one of your vids?
@tarekith4 жыл бұрын
Darc_ Harmoni no, but I think shift plus knob assign will take you to the global pad settings if I remember right.

knobs C1 C2 etc.. if you push them in and turn the value knob they go faster .
@tarekith4 жыл бұрын
I said that in the video :)
@smartassrecords4 жыл бұрын
@@tarekith i must have missed it as i heard the complaint that you had to turn them a lot , but the "value knob" allows for very easy fast dialling .
@smartassrecords4 жыл бұрын
push and hold C1-4 and move the value dial , i found it to be quite fast .
@smartassrecords4 жыл бұрын
ok , so i watched it again and you did not mention what i am talking about , , push down and hold it down C1 or any f the C1 2 3 4 knobs , but turn the "value dial" ( the larger dial below ) it will remedy what you are talking about regarding the fine control of C1 etc... . . .

Just a question: Is it possible to change the note of a recorded sequence holding down the step you want to change and pressing the new note you want on the pad? I mean, if you recorded A on step 2 and you want to change the A to C is it possible to quick edit the step or are you forced to alter the pitch on the lcd menu ? Thanks in advance. I ask this because I had a JDXI in the past ant it allows a really fast editing of steps holding down the step and pressing the new key on the keyboard... and more... it let you transpose the sequence in real time... but I don't find these functions on the MC707 manuals.
@tarekith4 жыл бұрын
Mauro Favaron yes you can totally change notes that way.

I hate the 4 main clicky knobs and their resolution... you either get fine resolution or coarse, there is no good in-betwee. The stepped clickiness is absolute trash. Roland screwed the pooch on that. The MC707 is desperate for an upgrade as an mkii.

I can't stand you. Seriously. You are gonna cost me a thousand dollars on one of these things. Thanks man. Not cool. :-). Knobs look a little small? Or just the scale in the vid?
