I was there! I was there every years, for many years, till the last real Targa Florio, the1973 edition. No racing cars never will be better and fashinating than old real Targa Florio was. No one can understand what racing car means if did not see, at least only one time, the feeling Targa Florio was able to give. F1 or any others kind of racing cars are just nothing compared what Targa Florio was.

... in this breathtaking, wild JW livery. Or when you see him, Monsieur Siffert, at a table in Le Mans together with Jacky Ickx nipping on a glass of wine in perfect unassuming calm. And later on the track almost flying his 917 round for round in top charge. Those men, those times ... able to reign their untamed spirits .. in perfect control . with undisputed class. Phenomenal.

ja...wenn einem hühner, pferdewägen und kleine kinder im weg stehen könnten. man muss sich das mal vorstellen, dass die strecke nicht mal richtig abgesperrt war. heutzutage würden die fahrer dafür in den knast kommen.
