I reeealy was looking forward to this review. First of all, this is the best review of Asp Gen2 darts compared to all other videos. Which is no surprise 😊 Your close up camera is so good. And your "nosy" front view is also a great idea. I presume the hole is cone shaped at the very bottom, which is why the back end of the point is split - it kind of squeezes in the hole and counters the screwing in of the point thus enabling a tight sit. The review is so good that even though I initially abandoned the idea of buying these, I have now actually reconsidered my decision. Thank you for the great video!

I'm happy to see that they've started making a storm swiss point. I have been avoiding the swiss point darts because of the flat lip that the regular swiss points have. I wonder if the storm ones are interchangeable with the other swiss points.

They should be, I just took the points out of these and put them in the Crux 02, took a bit of effort to fully tighten the point in but it did go in :)

Typical he changed design shortly after I bought my set of aspinall darts.Always found double top darts to be a very pleasant company to deal with and like you say very quick with their delivery.

I love the attention to detail with the tongue coming out of the snake. They look great. I thought the darts would cost over £100 since they are 95% and Nathan's the matchplay champ (arguably Target's best player). You really wrecked those stems as well. Too bad they weren't in green! Lovely design on them to be fair. I did actually buy the dobeys Daz what a nicely balanced dart. Also got some of the k flex flights and you’re right they are a bugger to screw in but once done they’re fine.

Yeah a good looking dart, not sure they are quite right for me, think I did better with the Black version. Dobey are a lot nicer than I was expecting :)

I just got a set of 24’s they are an amazing dart for a rear gripper like by myself I put longer strom points and longer stems but the same size flights can fault lovely to throw. Great review too really like your content 👍

Very nice looking darts, the snake design really sets them off. The grip at the front seemed to be inconsistent for you Darren, although wouldn't bother me as a rear gripper, but with their hefty price tag they won't be on my shopping list anyway, even though I am a big fan of Nathan Aspinal and would love a set of his darts 😐😐

Yeah the price will be off putting for many really, and I think rear grippers will be fine but think the other Asp versions are overall better :)

My guess for the point texture would be that target isn’t cutting them on a lathe but rather metal injection moulding or casting them which leads to a rougher surface, to the dart the barrel feels so similar in form to the clemens gen 2, I wonder if we ever get asimetric darts or at least eliptical Darts which are only symmetric in one axis, do you know if something already got done Darren ?

Yeah they may be moulded, I know they can do things like that. Dont know of any darts like that, there is or has been hexagon shape but still symmetrical :)

As you say these have a dubious grip layout . At the price I would certainly want a test drive , but I would hope to be pleasantly surprised and having bought them I would be permanently holding them for security reasons ! They look beautiful .

Yeah I think for some holding at the front it may not be quite right although sometimes they did fly nice, but I am sure for others holding in other parts of the darts they will be great, look good though :)

Thanks for the review Darren, I bought a 22g set and grip near the front. As you mentioned I didn’t have the consistency because of the 2 grip surfaces I tried for afew days but as nice as these darts are, won’t be using these for matches.

❤ an amazing video again, yeah I really don't think those darts were made for you, I guess the kind of 30% grip at the front makes it bit difficult. Maybe if you would shot them daily for a week, you would find a better way to hold them. But this is why you reviews are great, their are honest, so it a dart is bad or kind of difficult you saw it. So I really appreciate how you make your reviews. 👍

A lovely looking dart as normal from target……they have definitely got the Swiss points bang on now and being 95 thinner than the old set…..not for me but sure they will sell loads of these

They are and also about 60% blind in one eye and also had many injuries to throwing arm as well as dartitis, but just happy to be able to throw.
