Target fixation (riding tips #2)

A simple explanation of target fixation, and how to both recognize and correct it whenever it occurs. Target fixation is something that many new motorcycle riders struggle with, but it can be reduced with practice. Even the most experienced riders can struggle with target fixation at times, but knowing how to snap out of it and refocus can really improve your riding.
Prior to being visible on camera, I noticed that the truck was completely in the opposite lane before they saw me and began to try to get back into their lane by the time we met at the turn. I adjusted my lane position by about 3 feet to avoid being hit by the truck..
