Prior to this "Pride culture" I loved wearing rainbows. My parents gave all three children a middle name because my granparents did not give any of their child middle names. So we called my mother "RaineBow" because the end of her first name and beginning of her last name gave her this wonderful middle nickname. She was always bright and cheerful (it was annoying at times lol) Anyways, The day she died, a rainbow appeared on the floor as I was cleaning up. She had promised me that she would find away to show that she was there with me. So everytime I'm in a bad place and a natural rainbow appears, I know it's her. I use to wear the rainbow to represent my mother. I don't wear it now because I end up having to defend myself from others thinking I'm representing the LBGTQ community. I called every department available on the phone menu and nobody (NOBODY) would answer the phone. I FINALLY had to call the Starbucks inside the store and have the manager PAGED to Starbucks to be able to talk to him on the phone to ask about my application. It took 20 minutes to reach that store manager. 20 MINUTES. That is (or should be) completely unacceptable. But I have a feeling it's really quite common.

It is about making sure that the sin you see in other believers is not present in your own life, that is to say 'dont be a hypocrite.' If a Christian was practicing homosexuality (which is a sin) and criticised another Christian for practicing homosexuality then that Christian would be ignoring the plank in their own eye. They would need to stop sexual immorality in their own life first before they can advise another believer about their sexual immorality. Christians are not supposed to judge non-Christians as we know they are not saved as so will not care about what is sinful at all.

Oh my gosh, James... that occurred about 60 years ago. I didn't need God or religion in my classes over 36 years. I tried to show Christian love and compassion to my students through simply being the best role model I could be. Most of the kids got the message without being hit over the head.
