Target to lower prices on thousands of items to lure shoppers

Target is the latest retailer lowering prices in the push to satisfy budget-conscious shoppers. The big box retailer is cutting prices on 1,500 items including groceries, with thousands more to come. NBC’s Vicky Nguyen reports for TODAY.

For one regular cheeseburger, small fry and a small drink costs 20$ at McDonald's now. They even charge you for extra ketchup and napkins. And one Big Mac costs 11 dollars now! My McDonald's days are OVER. Never again.

Our neighborhood Target remodeled and upgraded to a high end looking store a while ago. I felt that their prices got higher then. With inflation, they became even more. I am glad to hear lowering prices even a little

You are so right! I'd rather buy a pound of ground beef and make my own for a whole family. McDonald's wants 11 dollars for a big mac now! Then they want to charge for extra ketchup! Seriously they charge for ketchup now. I'm not paying 20+ bucks just for a burger and fries. Burger King is actually worse! They want 12 dollars for one Whopper with cheese! Insane!

I only shop at Amazon. My days of Target and Walmart including every other place and malls are officially over. I haven't been in a mall ever since the pandemic started and I don't ever wanna go back. What's the point? You can have everything delivered to your house! We don't even eat out anymore! And it's no wonder the 99 cents store completely went out of business. People were robbing them left and right! HELLZ NO. I'd rather get everything delivered to my house. I can even do my doctors appointments from my own bedroom!🤣🤣

I'll give it a chance ... as soon as the price changes hit Target, I'll do my normal shopping and compare the final total bill to my usual, and see how much difference there is. No reason to think this is anything more than an attempt to bring in shoppers, so why not check it out.
