I have one. About 1200 rounds in and never had an ejector failure or any failure for that matter. Busts clays all day long and knocks birds out of the air right up with my dad’s Benelli OU. Highly recommend to anyone looking in that $1,000 range.

Had this gun for a few months shot around 600-800 rounds through it. Still ejects like a champ and has held up good to some rough conditions

I could never figure out why these guns are so short at 14". I have been told that a lot of field guns are made purposely shorter because you generally have some hunting clothing on and it makes it easier to mount. My target shotguns are all around 14.5", which fit me much better.

That lop would be good for me. I have a 13 3/4 to 13 7/8. It's damn difficult for me to find anything around there. Youth are too small, and standard lop is 14 & 14 1/4. So they get a shave job.

Hello! In the countries of the former Soviet Union, there is a popular method for determining the straightness of shotgun barrels. You need to insert cartridges without a primer into the barrels and look from the other side. If the shadow rings in the barrel are strictly concentric, then the gun will shoot accurately. For some reason, most o/u guns have non-concentric rings inside. Have you ever owned a gun with non-concentric rings? Do you consider this a defect?

Field gun should be shorter than target guns. When you dress for the field you have at least 2 layers. Hunting vest, sweat shirt, etc. Try dressing for field then see how too short it is not in a tee-shirt.

I hit gold getting a deal on this gun for around $800, it's my very first self bought shotgun to trap shoot and have fun with, and I don't think for the price I got it for could another shotgun beat it, I am tall so what he said is true, adding a pad on the back for that extra inch really help out with the gun fitting me correctly, other than that I have put nearly 400 round through so far and love every second of it. Great shotgun !

Deciding on what O/U to get for a budget since I am a new shooter.? I have heard good things about the Orion Sporting. I watched the TFL review of the orion. I just found this video from TFL.

Please review the Yildiz Sporting HPS 12 Gauge. It’s a budget-friendly over-under (OU) shotgun priced at $729, and I believe it’s better than the Mossberg International.

I own this shotgun, use it for clays. It’s my first shotgun, have put at most 500 rounds out. Never any problems with the ejectors. In my opinion it kicks a bit hard without extra padding. Otherwise the gun is great. I’m a casual, every once in a while go to the range type shooter. If I was more serious about clays, I’d probably invest in a second gun.

O F Mossberg & Sons found a niche in the shotgun market around 1900. Low priced, quality firearms. After the 1960's, their marketing shifted to the 500 series of semis. They CAN build a quality gun.

Steve I was wondering your opinion Inertia vs a over under for felt recoil . I was at a gun shop I go to looking at a Inertia Benelli Montefeltro wood stock and the manager advised me not to buy it that shooting clays the recoil starts to get to you after 20 or so clays . But then he recommended a over under as a better gun for my shooting type {sporting clays } So I thank him and didn't buy anything. I would think a over under would have more felt recoil ? I normally shoot a Remington 1100 and sometime just to change things up a Ted Williams 200 or a Winchester 1897 all 12 gauge to make things interesting. I hope you respond Thank you

The Gold Reserve is part of a line of over-unders manufactured for Mossberg by Khan Arms in Turkey. Turkish guns have been a great gift to the U.S. consumer, especially in the shotgun market.
