Targeting and Catching Large Schools Of Striper | Merrimack River

Striper Fishing on the Merrimack River got on some crazy bites using the SP minnow. Targeting big schools of striped bass early morning and evening.

Went that very spot today to check it out. I know exactly where it is. Two things: 1) There is a sign on the walk just before the train bridges that says, among other things, that you can't fish under either bridge. I can't say if anybody enforces that or if that sign is new? 2) If the tide is higher, as it was when I went there, those rocks in the video are almost all under water. Today, there were just a few visible on the ocean side of the car bridge not under water. You can see the high water nark on the bridge at about 2:30 mark. I had no desire to walk on the ones that were exposed. I have to think the rocks the video guys are on are very slippery when exposed

ya during peak tide there are only a few rocks you can stand on, and as far as I know the sign for no fishing is referring to that boardwalk bridge in front of the apartments, and casting over the rail next to the old red bridge. I haven't been this year but in prior years fishing is allowed under the bridge in that spot. You can also fish anywhere on that path to the left and get good action with clams over there.
