Getting cranks down to deeper Walleye is critical to finding daytime fish in the Pacific Northwest. In this video I go to Banks Lake and troll for deep water Walleye using snap weights and downriggers to find fish at depths beyond the normal dive depths of common Walleye diving lures.
Tackle Featured in this Video:
- Flicker Minnow 9: amzn.to/3EGdw3z
- Bandit Walleye Deep: amzn.to/2ZMEjMi
- Snaps for weights: amzn.to/3zVoSR5
- Cannon Uni Troll 5: amzn.to/49sdlZT

You never forget the big fish you lose. I remember every one, play by play. I was at Potholes in Oct before the full moon. And had a couple of great days. Flicker Shads #5, downrigger on one side and lead core line on the other. The leaded line is a not so secret weapon that was taught to me 30 years ago. I now have Walleye fever.

After watching all your walleye videos I went to Lake Celilo to try my hand at walleye's. All I caught was SM Bass, You've given me new ways to try and catch them, thanks!

I have had that happen a number of times, and it used to haunt my dreams. Then I moved to Washington, and we can catch those Big Shadows on the regular ;)

I moved to Spokane 7 years ago.. Took me four years to figure out how to consistently catch walleye.. But I never fished as deep as you do.. So my question does it apply to Roosevelt too.. To run deep and what time of year?? You have totally blown my mind with your techniques.. Cause I was like you always watching I've videos like Tom boley so back east stuff.. So I really appreciate watching your stuff glad I subscribe.. Thanks a ton..

Roosevelt Walleye really are strange. I've caught fish at 30' in front of Seven Bays and on the same day found fish at 110' in front of Hawk Creek. My sense from talking with other Roosie Walleye anglers is that late fall and mid-winter a lot of the fish run deep 60' to 150' deep.

Yes best places are around the major river and creek inputs from Hawk Creek upstream. The fishing in Sullivan is better though

Brady - i’m in spokane, if you ever want to target walleye up on Roosevelt (Kettle Falls) or ID lakes hit me up! I use torpedo weights on snaps to reach deep depths.

@@CarpCommanderappreciate the offer I fish exclusively with my wife and family... We run bottom walkers . And lots of different stuff have my own boat fully loaded down riggers etc.. I'm too damn old to be in a kayake man..19 foot 75 horse with kicker motor and bow mount electric..

Thank you for the tips! If I were to fish for walleye in a reservoir around 100 feet deep, what would be a good band to start with? Similar to your 58’-62’?
