Great material here, Jim. Keep up the good work. As a 41 year veteran (I'm 60) in the death industry, I've had the opportunity many times to see knife and gunshot wounds up close; I've also witnessed many autopsies over the years, and what you are teaching here is absolutely the truth. These types of wounds are oftentimes fatal, and the targets are easy to hit. Stay safe out there! Mark

I just found this channel looking for a good folding knife, I'm going to watch your videos. (And I'll buy the knife) Now I'm training with a pikal knife, following Giuliano Ron method. On this method targets are mostly the arms of the aggressor. The motto is: attac what attacs you. So arms and legs, keeping the distance and moving forward when possible. Because the pikal is small and try to reach the body of the opponent is an unnecessary risk. A deep cut in the arm is usually enough for stop him. What do you think about that knife stile?.

Overall "attack what attacks you" is good practical knife fighting advice. However, not all cuts or stabs may stop the attacker if he or she is determined to close the distance. Even a fatal cut may no slow down the attacker's advance, and this where two other pieces of advice come in: "distance is your friend," and "do what you can if you are trapped." Thank you for your great comments. BE A HARD TARGET

I help the 97% good guys despite the fact that the 3% could abuse the information and training I give. The solution is to train harder and better than the bad guys. BE A HARD TARGET

You forgot to mention the arm pit. Deep slash to the armpit, enemy can't fight with that arm. Deep puncture, you could get the lungs. The spot between the collar bone and shoulder socket. Deep slash behind the knees, can't stand or walk. Deep slash pit side of the elbows, can't maintain usage of a weapon. Deep slash through the forearm, can't hold a weapon. You left out the 9 point back stab also. Just saying 😂😂😂😂 This is less than 1st Day Stuff. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

YES, all you stated are so right. The video did not cover everything. I could spend an hour alone on body targets. But, keep in mind, many people who watched this video, and will watch it in the near future, have not had "1st Day" training. This may be their first intro to knife combat. However, it's also a good reminder for all of us who've had more training. BE A HARD TARGET
