As far as I remember his interviews, Tuomas never wrote with anyone's voice in his mind, except for probably the first albums with Tarja. All the singers always had to adapt to his ideas.

@@FelipeSaintJeanOfficial I remember an interview from the Floor's era where he was directly asked if he had singers' voices in mind when writing songs and he replied that he had it in mind in the sense of who would sing what, but he didn't adjust vocal melodies to their intended capabilities. Therefore, Floor, by her own admission, constantly feels challenged when recording vocals for albums and even jokingly addressed Tuomas: "Do you understand that I also have to breathe?".

I've had a strange feeling for a while now that the last two albums would just plain sound better if Anette sang them. Floor is a beast, nobody needs to hear that twice, but on Perfume (and I presume the entire new album) she sounds really airy, without the usual oompf. Could of course just be the weird vocal mix, but to me personally even AI Anette sounds more suitable. It makes the song actually feel like Nightwish evolved from DPP and Imaginaerum to now, with Floor the last two albums just feel very detached from their previous catalogue to me. Like there's no continuity either in the themes or the band themselves, with just Tuomas personally, save his biology obsession, being the link between Imaginaerum and EFMB. I don't know, to me, this sounds written for Anette.

En definitiva creo que Floor es buena cantante pero no tiene la mística que necesita Nightwish definitivamente Tarja es imposible que siga dando su voz a Tuomas pero Annette podría y creo que Tuomas está de acuerdo Annette dio un aporte especial a la banda en el momento más difícil de la banda el peso cayó enterito sobre ella y pudo sobrevivir ante una oleada de fans dividida también creo que está canción fue escrita más para la voz de Annette definitivamente

I am pretty sure that it's the weird vocal mix that makes Floor's voice sound inferior to that straight forward ai vocal. Imagine Floor's vocal as much forward in the mix as the ai and there you would have the oomph :)

I have the same weird feeling. Floor is a singing goddess but there's something in Anette's voice that made Nightwish's songs feel alive in a way Floor somehow can't for the most part.

That’s because Anette voice is more suitable for cinematic music (Disneyish) and Tuomas loved that on her so much that he wrote an entire album on that theme (imaginaerum), we have to remember that “Dark Passion Play” some songs was written thinking in Tarja’s voice, so imaginareum will be the first and only album written for Anette’s voice.

@@RolfMeyer-cl7ou Hi Rolf. I hate the AI thing. The Tarja voice was a bad imitation and Annette's voice was so much thicker. She was hitting Floor's high notes which were out of her range. AI may just destroy main stream music. It sucks already. Real music lovers will hear the difference. Auto tune and pitch correction have taken the human expression and emotion out of music. Nightwish and a few others are the exceptions to the norm.

The top three selling albums are DPP first place,Once in second place and Imaginaerum in the third place. As you see Floor isn't the best singer till now and i love her as much the other two.
