Tarja's voice is fuller and more powerful, effortless, in this song. Haunting and beautiful, whereas Floor is simply able to hit the notes without due effort. I think that Floor actually compliments Nightwish a little better though, because it seems they really a singer able to do the pop thing as well as the opera thing. Floor is AMAZING in that regard. This song is not really a fair basis for overall comparison.

Floor doesn't sound good when attempting a more lyrical way of singing, she has a very "large" and powerful chest register that blew me away on romanticed or ghost love score but when I read on the comments' section of every video that she is better at everything it makes me cringe because it isn't true. Classifying her as a dramatic soprano then it is just for laughs, even just knowing a tad bit of classical singing I know she is not....where would jessye norman stand then?

Let's hear a comparison of any other kind of singing between Floor and Tarja and see who has the goods. Of course since Tarja can't do anything else she wouldn't be able to outperform Anette on anything but classical vocals, let alone stand on stage with Floor. I appreciate that someone went to the effort of finding a song that Tarja can do better (at least comparing these performances) than Floor. At least it's something for them to hold on to.

That's not a fail. If you listen correctly, than you might notice that Floor adapted this musical to her voice. She never wanted to sing it the way Tarja does. Really and the last not was never supposed to be that high as Tarja's. Although Floor as one octave more in her vocal range than Tarja, it's not that high, more deeper, that's her style. Get it.

Nope.... its the work of Tuomas. Why?? he is the main composer and creator of Nightwish. If he did not Hire Tarja and hire some other people who can pretty much do the same. There is no official version by Floor i.e the sound quality is much poorer. Floor's range is actually wider than Tarja's, the tone is different, so it sounds lower, but Floor can hit all the high notes as well and is a trained soprano - just google Puccini aria she sung in a talk show or then Holy Night in Raskasta joulua (official concert). Tarja's range is just 1 note over 3 octaves so typical for a soprano. Floor can reach almost full 4 octaves, wider than most. Floor also varies her singing style more, it's not always operatic, but alike more pop/rock and she does quick switches between the styles which is hard to do. Tarja still sings mainly closer to operatic style.

While Floor now "owns" most of the Nightwish 1 songs, certainly much better than Nightwish 2, Tarja still commands the lead for the Phantom song. Her highs are higher and her lows are lower and she has better breath control and thus can hold the final note longer than Floor can. On the other hand, Floor does much better on a song like Ghost Love Score that Tarja was just so so on. And between the 3 singers there is No song that Annette has the lead on. Unless somebody can point one out.

Scaretale, 'Slow, love, slow', just to mention some. Floor it's just the new sensation, the new toy, but she isn't that awesome.

Sorry, I disagree. Floor's not a better Christine in any way. Christine is an opera singer, while, yes, she's young, she still an opera singer. Floor doesn't have the vocal quality and easiness to make me believe that she's playing the role of an opera singer. Yes, Phantom is Broadway, not opera, but the role requires a singer who get's close to resemble an opera singer and still at the same time manages to stay in touch with the musical theater side. Tarja is singing a metal version, less theatrical than the original or Floor's, and still she has the vocal quality to be a better Christine than Floor. She's not young enough for the part, she has a darker timbre, that's all true. But her voice and her technique, the whole package, that is better for the role than what Floor has to offer. (She ruined the last part horribly, and well, sounded like she was swallowing her voice to sound more opera-like...just sayin') And the best on the role was, on my personal opinion, Sierra Boggess. She has/had the timbre, the voice, the body and the technique for a perfect Christine. ;) Now you can move on. Greetings.

Absolutamente Nadie Christine isn't an opera singer, Christine role was a soprano than sing musicals not and Opera it's because you see the Diva role in phantom of the opera before Christine sing the role! :)

The Phantom of the Opera was set in an opera house, a real opera house in Paris. Musicals didn't existed in the time the events in the novel/musical is supposed to occur. Of course the role is played by a musical theater singer, but it requires certain level of opera training to be played adequately based on who's being portrayed. Please, read the novel, watch the musical, but more than anything; understand what you're trying to talk about before saying anything.

Floor is a great singer for chest voice, belting and stuff like that, but she can't do operatic vocals properly, maybe with more training. You can definitely see the difference in The Siren as well, Floor notes sound less potent, maybe it's her range, maybe she needs more training, but she can't hit the original notes 100%, she does light versions of them.
