So, this trip was shot a few days before we put Scout down. Since this video, and dealing with the loss of my bud, I've spent a weekend in Wisconsin at a canoe event called canoecopia, which I had the pleasure of meeting hundreds of fans, and putting on 3 presentations, all of which I will have a video covering soon. As well as taking a week off with my daughter, who was on March break from school. The family and I went back home to Windsor for the week. We are back home, and back in to the normal swing of things. Spring is upon us, and I will be back to the Fort to continue building and making adjustments, videos to come! Thanks all!

You’ve been a busy man. Good to see you and Doug out. I saw him at the outdoor show. I haven’t been out at all since my tent was destroyed and then my camp in the bush was vandalized. Now Pat is laid up with a shattered kneecap so I’m doing nurse duty which I suck at. So your video is well timed Thanx joe.

After my ulcer, I switched to almond milk and Bear Naked granola as my breakfast cereal and I noticed a significant energy improvement and it stuck with me a lot longer than regular milk and junk cereal for breakfast. I never tried coconut milk tho, I'll have to give that one a try. Not as easy to get some tropical things here in Maine.

Joe if you still want your cheerios you could have almond milk! I was very skeptical about it at first but I actually enjoy it more than regular milk now! I highly suggest at least trying it so you can still have your cereal :)

I LOOOOOOOOVE almond milk. But I was reading it has a very negative environmental impact, something like 40 gallons of water to 1 of almond milk. I'm not sure, I need to do more research. But based on that armchair theory I've forced myself to drink soy milk 90% of the time. I wonder if I'm wrong. I really really hope so?

@@josephallen19 I would like to see you do a very long trip, like a week or two where you did something like paddle across a set of lakes(like you did before) or hike a long trail. I think it would be a very cool video if you did something like that. Another idea for your next milestone would be camping in alaska maybe somewhere very remote where you had to be flown in or something, that'd be awesome! I don't know the logistics of that and how dangerous/expensive/do able it actually is but from my uneducated view it seems like a really cool idea!

However, if you're roasting it over direct flame for the entire cook, it will burn off. Trust me on that, I've had it happen with a trussed duck over an open flame for over an hour. The butchers twine burned up and the the duck ended up in the campfire and was rather charred, lol.
