Key West and Tarpon fishing was a great place and a perfect sport for these guys to get out of their heads. Jimmy Buffett fits right in with the writers and poets. What a great time the 70s must have been.

I don’t understand why it seems like the rights holders are so insistent on making money off this, you go to their website and they’re talking about a new for purchase release. It’s 50 years old, just put it on KZbin for free and let people enjoy it. I have yet to see this film and like others who have read lord of the fly I’m sure we all want to see it.

Tarpon is a catch-and-release only fishery. One tarpon tag per person per year may be purchased when in pursuit of an International Game Fish Association (IGFA) record. Vessel, transport and shipment limited to one fish. Tarpon smaller than 40 inches in length may be removed from the water long enough to take a photo before being returned to the water for release. A tarpon should be brought to the boat and released within twenty minutes of hookup to minimize stress on the fish.

Was this a joke? It's a vintage movie trailer older than me. I'm assuming you were either making a joke about crazy PETA people or you are a crazy PETA person and didn't realize this happened 40 years ago.
