They are captive products, the first one you buy you stick with that company as batteries are not standard. Very smart.
@bctruck6 жыл бұрын
Tony Papantoniou yeah that is very true. However, it works for me because the 5 amp hour batteries (4 of them) that came with the saw, with the 2 battery charger, compliment all my other 18 volt makers tools. If you buy dewalt, your a dewalt captive.

Small gas engines will always be number one on lawn equipment because batteries for these things will always be to expensive for us common folk. Great video guy's!
@Mr_Tecumseh6 жыл бұрын
The prices will eventually come down. Electric is the future. They run clean their much quieter and their practically maintenance free.
@Roboticdoughbull3k6 жыл бұрын
The batteries will die, maintenance, wires will be jenky and come loose (locate and repair)more maintenance, electric motors will fail, maintenance, bearings are still there and going to wear out, more maintenance,diodes and capacitors etc etc. In the long run maintenance mechanical skill will be required. Hence work will still be available. People will buy new ones because of a loose wire and no mechanical skill, thus also netting us some nice profit from time to time 😊
@Vfh........y6 жыл бұрын
The number one reason small engine gas engines will be around for at least 50 years. It's very simple. Capacity is the number one problem with anyting operated by battery. Most yards you're lucky to get a third of it done before your battery whiz-bang goes dead

They will. Its getting their. Batteries are already as powerful as gas in some applications. Their Quieter, no gas, no smell of gas, no oil, no fumes, no air filters. Zero maintenance. Their clean, zero emissions. The only reasons cars arent already primarily electric is because of the monopoly of oil companies that are not going to allow it, because of $$$.

Taryl, I have a Blackmax generator I'm working on. It has a 208cc engine which I think is made by homelite. It had alot of build up around both valves and they were not seating properly which resulted in no compression. After takin the head off I was looking at it and when I turned it over a little metal button fell into my hand. After a little research I found out it was called a rotator. Since I didn't see where it came from I don't have any idea where it goes. Can you help me out? Where does this thing go? I think it sets on top of the exhaust valve but I'm not sure. I have rebuilt car engines and I'm very good at doing my own repairs but this is the first time I've ever rebuilt a small engine. (With the help of a couple of your videos). Thanks in advance

It has no electric start but the rope pull does turn the motor. I thought I'd start w/ cleaning all electric connections, then move to the fuel tank, air cleaner and carb. ?Any suggestions ?? They just came out with it. Patents are pending and they don't want the chinese taking a good close look so that can turn around and copy and clone it so fast. I think it was smart, it protects a good US based company and by doing that protecting the U.S. itself.
