Farman Ali moved into a treehouse he built in the Pakistani city of Karachi eight years ago after falling on hard times. The 28-year-old still makes his home in the branches, and has become known as the “Tarzan of Karachi” after a video of his makeshift abode was widely shared online.

Must be a pretty safe city to live if for 8 years nobody stole what little he has. If it's here in the US, the first thing that will happen is the government will force you to take it down or face a fine and the second thing that will happen is coming back to see what little you have stolen.

Stealing is not uncommon here as well. I don't know if he has taken electricity wire for his phone and kettle. If he has a small solar plate, this is bread and butter for thieves. My guess is that he lives in a friendly neighbourhood and I think people keep en eye on his home in his absence.
