it is very strange that the death music is used whenever the Prince defeats an enemy, but then there are a bunch of "wrong" sound effects in this version. I mean, I'm sure the Genesis had the technology, wonder if the port makers just didn't care enough

Well, the SNES version does look better, even if the levels are not as colorful. It animates better, too.

The Genesis version has the better-looking levels as well as the eventually faithful Prince design for PoP2, but the SNES wins in animations and sound (after all, it's more powerful).
