Tas preaches getting a good nights sleep before every record he is trying to break, you can tell by how many great times he has gotten throughout the years. Definitely top 3 greatest speed runners across all games.

Almost 3 years later and I have to wonder. How long would a 100% tas be? All ring attacks, all Tournaments, all Star Tournaments, 18 hole birdie challenge. All that stuff. Now THAT would be a fun watch. The more Toadstool Tour the better

I would estimate: 85-90 minutes all tournaments and star tournaments (includes 216 birdie badges) +90-100 minutes for all ring attack modes +73 minutes for character matches +20 minutes for all side games = ~4 hour 30 - 4 hour 40 min Traditional "100%" category on speedrun.com would be sub 3 hours.

I used emulator tools to help make every shot precisely. I can rewind and advance 1 frame at a time over and over until I get the shots I want.

Lol was this Mario Golf or Pangya? I didn't know you could shoot directly into the hole. I remember in my teen years with a notebook in hand trying to understand the winds and ball lie. This game is still far superior than the shovelware we got last year.

Not sure what you mean by flat ball lie. Hitting in bunkers is very quick for the TAS route anyways. No time wasted from the ball bouncing

So as someone who played this game way too much when it came out(I should mention I 100% completed it), why does the TAS super backspin in situations where you wanna get as close as possible to the pin?

Generally speaking I used super backspin in spots where I could get the ball to stop even quicker than if I were to use any other spin, most notably hole 8 with star Waluigi. On most surfaces, topspin will give a lower bounce that stops very quickly after rolling out, but if I can get the ball to bounce on a downslope that curves into a flat area, then backspin will stop even faster than a topspin shot. Hope that answers your question.
