Where are the stars coming from? Bumping into others?

Yup, you can either steal items by punching enemies, or by ramming into them with a Mushroom or Star. So ideally I always want to chain the steals, because punching is pretty slow :)

on Lap1 they keep me above 65mph while I RTech around, and when I do it with the Star it's mostly for the angle :)

I was already 50% done with the new version of Daisy Cruiser (was optimizing the dining room in Lap-2) but then I finally figured out how to MT on the poolskip stairs, which saves >100ms. So I decided to restart DC all over again to incorporate that timesave into Lap-1 aswell. Now I am currently optimzing the first blue tunnel corner after the dining Room in Lap-1, so it will be quite a while before I finish DC. But restarting the TAS again is already looking pretty worth it

If you watch the part after 1:23 in slow motion, you can see that I actually ram into Toad + Koopa there, stealing the star that they carried :)

Technically yes, there are no inputs that are fully impossible. But a lot of them are frame perfect and require a pretty precise angle to be held. The RNG might be the hardest thing for a human, because you have no way of telling what items you are getting and what the CPUs are getting, while I can monitor that kind of stuff. So you would need to be reaaaaally lucky aswell

@@f1ex999 Yep, this is played on the Dolphin emulator on PC. And since it's a TAS Im using savestates, frameadvancing and memory watches to help me get an almost perfect run
