I've managed to do the trick which is walking up hills where you normally will slide down by holding A and pressing B to not lose all speed and get up the hill. But I don't know how to do it on flat ground only to maintain speed. It always ends up in me diving. Can you tell me how to do it?

@15:14 that is actually a slower route on the WR. Rikku was .55 behind because of lag reduction, but doing a complicated trick lost .32

XD! Having the two stand next to each other, some of these made me ask, "Was the left done on CONSOLE?" XD It's amazing how much of an improvement some TASs can get to the point of making an old TAS look slow, let alone doable in real time. (Course, left or right, doing either on console would be amazing in it's own right. Ah, the standards employed for TASs.)

I'm pretty sure the star being collected that way has to do with a route change that cuts down on the travel between courses, as the basement only has to be visited once. Something along those lines.

My favorite part of the new TAS might be the circuitous route for collecting the 5 secrets in WDW (54:13). If it weren't for the crapton of speed we get, it would be the worst route ever. I want to see a map of that route.

Because Siglemic's run is legit. This is a TAS (Tool-Assisted Speedrun), which is played on an emulator, usually using super slow speeds and/or save states to make up for human error.
