Oh wow, I never gave this version of the game a second thought, but it actually looks pretty solid. And those graphics -- they look more like the SNES version than the NES! ...However, the music.. man, the music. You can't even compare this ear-damage to the awesome NES NG soundtracks that are still awesome to this day.

It's an all right version, but it makes the fast-paced game surprisingly tedious. The TAS handles it well, but every boss is such a slog because they get invincibility periods between every hit (and many of them and any enemy that takes more than one hit gets that as well, so there are some areas where _have_ to stop and wait so you can kill an enemy before moving on. But it does add plenty of cool new moves, so you at least won't be bored! but that music tho just makes me wanna binge a Ninja Gaiden I-III playlist

i think the game is meant to be played in 50hz

Game is playable in Brazil (PAL-M) meaning that it does have a place in the world where it runs at 60 if it exists there. (Some games don't.)

Nah, it's a common mistake. I keep forgetting that there's PAL SMS games that come out in Brazil personally too.
