You play as a wizard who has gone on a mission to save your master, Mordamir. A message you get from him in your dreams tells you to go an ancient subterranean labrynth. Things happen, and in the end you learn that Mordamir was evil all along and was trying to harness a fountain of youth for himself. He needed you because he got stuck. The dragon was the last of its kind and had survived due to the fountain, hence why Mordamir wanted to control it. Eight years after you asked, but I hope this helps.
