This game still gives me nostalgia even if I could only barely get past stage 1. I still remember playing this game at the age of 4, sitting on a small trampoline in the room between the bathroom and the kitchen, playing on a Sears-branded CRT TV… The TV had mono audio output, and its remote had a functionality that changed the screen ratio from "Normal" to "Wide" and "Zoom". I think it may've been from the early 90s, but I'm still not entirely sure…

Tbh, this game was a big step down in difficulty from the earlier Battletoads games. For me as a kid, the hardest stages were 3 and 4. But other than that the game wasn't too bad. I had a lot more trouble with Battlemaniacs.

Sadly, this version isn’t as good as the NES or Mega Drive versions. It barely plays as well and the collision detection is pretty poor. Sometimes, combos don’t connect! It’s also riddled with copious bugs and glitches. This is NOT up to par with Rare’s usual efforts, especially for the SNES. Were they busy making Battletoads In Battlemaniacs? That game was awesome.

its not a bad version..on this "version" they make sure the music was badass...and u get it..some of the best snes music. Check the third mission music..is epic as fuck..or the space ship mission song.

This was one of my favorites in the 90s. I was a child back then and i managed to finish the game. I tried it now again at 30 but my reflexes are so down, I couldn't make it past stage 2 after many tries. I like the frogs more, they are more funny.

Funny how we mastered such hard games back then right? I think it was the fact that we had nothing but time on our hands to really learn how to play it. And games back then required you to learn patterns, timing, etc for everything!
