The Addams Family is a game from Ocean Software released in 1992 for the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis. It also has a simplified NES port under the name Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt. In this game, it's implied that family members have been captured and are being held hostage by enemies, it's up to Gomez to save them all.
The three authors defeat all the bosses, collecting all health upgrades and saving every family member in record time, which makes for a very creepy, kooky, mysterious, and spooky run.

I'm always amazed by tool-assisted speedruns. This game was BRUTALLY difficult and a TAS makes it look easy.

OK, question. Why aren't bosses coded to handle the sword? How do you take the sword away from where it's supposed to be? Oh, and happy Halloween. You finished in the nick of time!

warmCabin from my understanding, the sword basically ignores i frames. Since the rest of the enemies in the game die in one hit, there was no need to program the sword to account for i frames, especially of bosses. The developers just never intended that you could make it to any boss with the sword.

And you can bring it there simply by taking no damage?

Garbie, we need you to run this game again. It's so underrated it's unfair. Btw, we have any%, all bosses, but there has never been a 100%. Too difficult, maybe? This game's full of secrets! Shall we stick to Mario forever when it comes to platforms?
