This is my favorite game in the classic quadrilogy (Mania and Superstars don’t count; I’m talking the originals on Genesis/CD). It’s not quite as content-packed as 2 or especially 3&K, but I love the music, the way the story is conveyed through the music, the gameplay mixing exploration with speed (kinda like the Dreamcast Era games, now that I think about it), Metal Sonic… It’s wonderful.
