If anyone is wondering why this is King's Tekken 2 ending, allow me to explain: (Canonically) King was actually defeated by Armor King in this tournament and was too ashamed to face those kids at his orphanage whom treated him like their big hero. So he instead left them presents at the door and wanted to walk away in shame, but the kids proved they still loved him regardless of what happened in the tournament which made him happy again. Aaaaaaand cut forward several years later, Ogre meets middle aged King and.....R.I.P. King 1st.
@bigleo92916 жыл бұрын
That's not what I read. Story from what I understood was said that, in the First Iron Fist Tournament, King placed Third and raised enough money to start the orphanage but it wasn't long until that money ran dry and somewhere along the line, one of the Orphans in King's care died and that turned him into an alcoholic. A worried Armor King came to his rescue and helped him get his fighting spirit back. Eventually getting him to where he would be able to compete in the next Iron Fist tournament. King was able to win enough Money to get the Orphanage back on track but was still ashamed of the way he acted and didn't think the kids would accept him. To his surprise, they loved him just like they did before and King returned to manage the Orphanage.

I think they deliberately left some of the really fancy stuff out to encourage players to experiment. The CPU will sometimes reveal the moves to you by using them on you in hard mode, which would get a pre-internet player thinking "Hmm, now how can I do that?" Games in the 90s and 80s weren't as likely to spell everything out for the player.
@Godlimate2 жыл бұрын
