For many, getting a good mix is just as important as recording a song. This process prepares the song for mastering, which in turn makes it ready for the general public. We know that mixing music requires many attributes such as: a plan, patience, attention to detail and good studio monitors just to name a few. The DP-24 is a great platform to mix on because of its simplicity and comprehensive toolset. I wanted to share this information for anyone interested who struggles with this process and is looking for a proven consistent way to mix down their music.

Nasty spikes suck. Kid looks to be in pain! Thanks for your posts on the Tascam. I've read the manual over and over but the "hands on" approach is much easier on the brain.

Hey I got a question.. Is it possible to set a reverse for an open hi hat on the recorded track for example? And if yes, how can I do that? Thank u!
@PowercoatMusic3 жыл бұрын
I would suggest first exporting the track. Then to use audio editing software like "Audacity", reverse the Hi-Hat, and then import that track back into the DP-24. Thanks for watching. 👍🏿

Lets assume I already know how to use all these settings... HOW DO YOU MIX DOWN A SONG? What are you mixing it down to? A DAT deck?..a Sony minidisc player? How do you hook it up? What outputs are we using? What buttons do I press to begin the mix procedure? Why do I still hear an instrument in my headphones even after I slide the volume slider all the way to the bottom?

It has an internal stereo master track.

Thank you for everything power coat music. I'm having issues moving songs from my tascam DP 24sd to my MacBook. Every time I send them to my Mac I just get the singular tracks that I've recorded. They don't show up as a the song of multitracks. I have tried a lot of things and I haven't figured it out. Do you know why this is happening?

Check out my video "Tascam DP24/DP32 Digital Portastudio: Importing and Exporting Tracks", on this channel. That should help and explain a lot. Thanks for watching 👍🏿

@@PowercoatMusic I did watch that :( . My tracks are appearing on my Mac as just singular tracks no songs. I'm really trying to understand what the issue is.

I was wondering what's the best way to get soundtracks into the DP32SD unit while maintaining the highest quality? I have either the option of purchasing CD's or MP3 files. Thanks
@PowercoatMusic2 жыл бұрын
The most simple way is to import MP3 files into the unit. Quality largely depends on the bit depth and sample rate settings at which the MP3 files were recorded. Thanks for watching.

@@PowercoatMusic _ Based on your answer, I had one point of clarification. I'm assuming I can import through the mini B port? But more importantly, I was looking for a USB A to Mini B adapter/cable for my external CD drive... and the Mini B's are stating 5 pins on Amazon. But when I go to Tascam website, it states a Mini B 4 pin for the port. Could you help clarify what I need for this? Thanks

@@micahthompson3762 I strongly suggest following Tascam's requirements.
@micahthompson37622 жыл бұрын
@@PowercoatMusic Thanks. I thought maybe it was a misprint since I couldn't initially find anyone selling a "4" pin mini. But found one at a cable source.
