Wow nice job! ( subscribed ) I have a Porta 02 MK2 and while its extremely clean and the inputs work, no sound comes out when pushing play. No except a slight humming sound. I would bet that it's a solder issue, but I have been able to find the schematic online. Any ideas/advice?

Nice . But how to make a little circuit board you show at 1,45 ? Which component exactly ? Don't understand . Thank you anyway for sharing. I also don't understand where exactly on the main board you have sold ?

It's just a variable resistor that connected to the capstan motor not more, the schematic is shown on 1:22 thanks for your comment

Wow, really clean job there, looks like it was made by the manufacturer from the outside. Nice choice of tunes as well! Do you have any idea how you'd go about modding this machine for pitch control but with a CV input? I have the same model, aiming to mod it so I can control the pitch/speed with LFOs (pretty much a beginner though when it comes to this kind of thing). Tnanks either way for the video! Subbed

my brother got one of these after his other one broke in 1995. it was black though, and the door was kinda broken, but it still had nice quality if you can look past the static.

I puted in a Mabuchi EG-500YD-2B (2000~4000RPM) and sodered this little pitch control unit with a 500ohm variable poti and a variable 200ohm (and more) variable resistor. The Tascam works fine! Unfortunatly the pitch effect is only very very small. How i said, im not a electro technician so i need to believe the guy in the shop which sold me the pieces i need to reach the control. Maybe you could tell me which potis and resistor you used.... Thank you very much!

@@3rdisland477 Hey! thanks for responding. Looking on the side of the motor it says 9v dc. and i looked up the motor Mabushi EG-530YD-9B and it says 9v dc.
