Thank you! I hope this works. I called them three times, first to set it up, second to tell them it wasn't working and third there were no nighttime pictures. They told us to exchange it so we did. That one wouldn't work at all. We just picked up another one and I just did the walk through with you and he's going hang it now. I'll be back lol.

In video mode at night, I'm getting a half screen (lower) worth of bright green with a fine picture on the top half. Any idea what is causing this? I've got it mounted fairly close to the ground, less than 2 feet.

Turns out it was the player. I was trying to use VLC, but just wound up using the default Windows video.

anybody could you help that would be appreciated My 8 mp Tasco trail camera is not working. I have it angled 10 feet away from the intended target with nothing blocking the way. I have a 32 gb sandisk with a micro sd card in an adapter to make it a normal sd card. The camera has new batteries and it’s taking video and the motion is working good. The sd card is not full. When I put the sd card in my computer it plays videos it picked up but all it is is a black screen. Even when it is day. I really need help and I lost the return receipt. Please help me research the problem.

I have several and they work great. My wife bought me two at Walmart the other week. I hurried up and set them up with fresh batteries, and put them out in the woods. About a week later I went and collected my SD cards.. it showed lots of pictures but when I clicked on the pictures all I see is a blacked out picture. So I checked the other, same thing pictures on SD but only showed blacked out pictures as if you had a pc of black tape over the camera lense. So I brought the cameras down and switched a new SD card and set it on the counter in my kitchen, walked backwards and forwards in from of the camera and it showed 10 pictures but when looking they were black no visible pictures. I returned them back to Walmart. Was going to trade them but they didn’t have anymore. It’s weird I’d get two that didn’t work. But they actually took pictures but wouldn’t show them. Has anyone else had that to happen to them. I’m not giving up on them gonna try it again when they get more back in.

Your SD card was likely to large. These cams can only support up to 32GB. If you use larger like 64GB you get black screen

This trail cam sucks. LED display flashes four 8s across the screen and you can't do anything else with it no matter what I've tried do not buy it it's a piece of junk.
