Tash, your music has completely revolutionized my life and my perspective of it. Your fans in America have been waiting a very long time to watch you preform your magic on stage and I find that it was very audacious of you to succeed with such a large task without breaking. I flew from Atlanta to Cleveland (my hometown) to see you live with my mother and grandmother and was boarding my flight when we got the news of cancellation. I was selfish and upset without even thinking about the state your mind and body were in. I think it's common for consumers to forget what it's like to be an artist and what you go through to express yourself, let alone share it with the world - it is nothing but a laborious mission. I want to commend you for your effort to show this country what you're made of and share your captivating talents. While seeing you live was one of my only desires in my lifetime, it hurts to watch you go through such distress trying to gratify everyone else's wants. Your music has taught me a lot and I just want to say thank you for showing up and showing out, not for me but my neighbor. I hope to catch you next time. xo

Tash your music helped me out of the darkest period of my life. A couple of years ago I was in the military, and I hated every second of it. Then my dad died three months after a cancer diagnosis one month before I deployed. When I came back from that deployment I was so tired. I didn't want to be alive anymore. Every morning when I would wake up I would make coffee and sit there in my barracks room watching your music videos. Without fail for those months, that year, however long that depression lasted no matter what I would at least watch the music videos for Cant Buy Happiness, Free Mind, and the live version of Pink Moon from the show you did in Amsterdam a few years back. Those three songs were my safety blanket. I might have hated my job, my leadership might have treated me like shit, my dad might've just died but I had music - as long as I listened to those songs I knew I was going to make it through the day. Your music quite literally saved my life - Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! In that live performance of Pink Moon you gave a little life wisdom talk before you began playing. You said, "I know how you feel. And, a little bit of knowledge that I've learned from trying to deal with myself is that, what I realised is, sometimes when I'm stuck in this headspace that I think I would literally rather be dead is that it's just a frame of mind. And frames of mind, they all shift. Everything in your life is flux. Sometimes it is just a bad day, or a comedown, or a hangover, or a shitty break-up, or a shitty job, or a shitty day, or someone said something that really fuckin fucked with ya,. Can be a shitty day, shitty week, shitty month, shitty year... But, we're all alive right now so... you win in the end." I know you can get past whatever it is that you've been dealing with recently because the part of you where your music comes from healed the darkness within me. All the Love Tash. Cant wait to see the show in Pomona.

I saw you in Portland & Boston last week. The energy you gave was absolutely incredible and not at all indicative of the shit you'd been going through. Thank you for being open & sharing all of this and for stretching yourself extremely thin for us. Your performances/music/outlook on the world have literally changed my life. Something you said in Boston has stuck with me - "A lot changes when you decide to change. And sometimes we think that we are being buried by our problems, but we are being planted." Please remember that if you ever do need to take a step back, you'll have our support. In the meanwhile, keep rocking, Tash. Side note: what was the song playing at 9:02? I loved hearing it live and can't find it anywhere.
@doctordelatierra2 жыл бұрын
That song at 9:02 is a transition during the live version of Big Smoke. If you listen closely you can hear that base line going in the background.
@amandafarrington9672 жыл бұрын
@@doctordelatierra I figured it might be, but they performed it for such a long time I was hoping it might be it's own song. I absolutely love the creepy undertones
@doctordelatierra2 жыл бұрын
@@amandafarrington967 Yeah I have no clue what it is that Tash is doing to get those sounds, but at the red rocks show it sounded to me like the 'lyrics' i guess you would call it of that transition were saying "out of my head" and then just drowning it in effects and other electronic stuff. Huge fan of whatever it is as well.

I sometimes wonder about my purpose too and came to the conclusion that it is to live a fulfilling life. To accept the polarity between the good and the bad, balancing the light and the dark. Basically being comfortable in the grey zone with the optimism that things held in balance are a universal law that keep it all going. And when our human consciousness leaves us and we’re not identified with our thoughts anymore, we might experience a much deeper connection with the universe. We might even get an understanding of it. I truly believe that giving up our human mind could open up something really profound. And in the meantime, I’ll do the things I love and one of them is listening to your music :)
