based on the end cutscene i believe we are either in a simulation or we are in some sort of consciousness transferrence device which allows us to have multiple lives in lore

In "Blind Eye" you can find the body of an "MIA" squad member. Once the scramble goggles land, go to the box, turn left and move into a cave. You'll see the body and your character will note that they have the same callsign as you, which confirms that you've been dead for a while. The end of this mission confirms you've been a clone and you encountered your real corpse.

Also the spirit you see in this mission looked into his head, and saw his death. And then the vision of you in the "enclosed space" which is most likely a pod where they made the clone.

In blind eye he sees a dead body of himself in a cave holding a gun. After clean out there is this white screen after you complete the mission. In blind eye he has a flash back of clean out. Then snaps back to reality. So maybe yes.
