I am really worried about the American interviewer asking about ‘the best’, ‘the worst’, ‘the most difficult’, as if it were a competitive show. No, no! It is a quintessentially British show: five people having a go at something, failing, and laughing at how clumsy they are. It is not about scoring points or winning trophies. The points are useless. The trophies are for kicks and giggles. I am really worrying that an American adaptation would be too competitive, or too serious-but maybe those fears are unfounded and they find two hosts and five contestants, none of whom will take themselves seriously.

Naming the very worst contestant is really easy. Judi Love was a total nutcase, childish and disruptive and throwing her toys out of the cot, all the way through. Her one-dimensional 'humour' of just throwing a tantrum, is cringe-worthy. At one point, it was obvious that they had to take her aside and tell her to get her sh'''t together. She completely ruined series 13.

Wait, it’s coming back to the states? As is hopefully this time, because instead of just showing the true British program, we ruined it with feeling the need to remake it and it was awful. So hopefully it’s the actual British version that’s gonna be shown here, or at least something more true to how they do it.

Just watched Ep1 of the US Taskmaster... super disappointing. Reggie is a funny guy, but absolutely terrible as the host. Also, the female contestants were hateful and mean, not teasing with love like the UK version. Those comedians actually like one another, the US contestants seemed far too cutthroat (which I suppose fits our brand in the US...). I was also disappointed that I didn't hear about it until 2024, despite being a huge TM fan since the beginning. I'm American, and I don't know how I missed it! I think a Netflix version would've been infinitely more successful than Comedy Central. CC has a pay wall, so anyone who doesn't have cable can't watch it, whereas everyone has Netflix. I was very gratified to see Little Alex Horne in the seat though, so it was not a complete loss!
