In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

Apparently Alex has a really weird relationship with food. He's mentioned that he never takes more than 15 minutes to eat a meal, and that the only purpose of food is to satisfy hunger. Alex was a special guest on Ed Gamble and James Acaster's Off Menu podcast. The way Alex describes his eating habits is so weird. Taskmaster's weird food tasks are very much his specialty. He's eaten Morgana's blended mush, Lou's burnt porn mags, Mawaan's trash bin cocktail...

I find it weird, too but Imma guess chicken tikka masala is kinda a meat in a curry type of sauce while tandoori foods is just shit cooked in a tandoor and could be anything and thus not specific enough. Basically, if you asked for a curry, someone probably would accept a Tikka Masala sauce thing while chicken tandoori would make people go "huh no I wanted curry"

Both Sarah Millican and Chris Ramsey (Season 13 Sausage Mixer Champ) are from South Shields and I'm sure the Mediterranean diet is not a traditional part of their cuisine. That said, I'm sure that the olive bits are for good laughs. Ramsey's standup show from several years ago (there's a copy on KZbin - highly recommended) there's great story about how he was given an olive tree for his birthday.

Shoulda said person that was most convincing of deliciousness would get a bounce point woulda got some fun over acting. Its crazy how our brains use texture, consistency, temp, and how things break apart to effect flavor outside of things actual flavor. Had a corn snack that tasted truly like a steak but the texture was so off and wrong my brain still found it disgusting.
