I absolutely adore Nina. It's also amazing when she isn't the worst at a task. Tom Gleeson takes to the Taskmaster role a lot more naturally than Jeremy Wells, and I love Tom Cashman being constantly on the verge of giggling.
@seameus918 ай бұрын
Tom is way better then Jeremy, agreed.
@chloroformcowboy21628 ай бұрын
Is Jeremy the person in the NZ version? If so, I greatly greatly agree. That version was maybe the first & only non-original version I've tried (other than the excellent US version that introduced me to TM) and I stopped watching it after the first or second episode. Didn't seem really worth watching; like you say, the hosts didn't fit the bill, but also with the contestants many just felt like fans of the original show meta-referencing the original and trying perform optimally (rather than creatively) while apparently knowingly not taking part of “the real show”. Probably tough to replicate in such a small country / pool of people.
@elisabethcait29488 ай бұрын
I wouldnt recommend starting watching Taskmaster NZ with Series 1. They took a while to find their footing and i started out enjoying neither the host nor the contestants. Then i started Series 2 and WOW. Everything just fits so much better. Jeremy Wells found his style as a taskmaster, and not neccesarily as a carbon copy of greg. So yeah, give Series 2 another chance and if you still dont feel it, thats completely fine.@@chloroformcowboy2162

@@GraionDilach Yeah, the contestants past S1 were really solid. Their Taskmaster has always been a weak point but, apparently, that's due largely to editing. All the banter between Jeremy and the contestants is left on the cutting room floor while the tasks themselves are a little too drawn out.

The Password Task is one of my favourite tasks in all Taskmaster, so much so I have used it in my D&D games as a puzzle, three times. Such a simple concept as long as you do not point out how many roses there are. And even when they say how many roses there are, it took so long.

alright, Popcorn task instincts: pour a bowl of water into the popcorn and mash it around until it's a slurry, add blue food coloring until it looks like drain cleaner was added, then place a half bottle of drain cleaner next to it and leave a note on the container that says "Tom, DO NOT EAT, I'm serious! I actually, literally poured drain cleaner in here, you will get sick and possibly die if you eat this!" (I want to emphasize how much I did NOT actually put drain cleaner in the popcorn, it's still perfectly edible, but I will try to dissuade him as much as possible by bluffing that there is genuinely drain cleaner in with the popcorn).
