It's a shame they didn't do any misdirection during the final task. Having Paul hold up a sign saying 'Fake applause please' for two or three times would have made it way more exciting because Angela clearly had no reason to not immediately stand up the moment there were four cheers from the audience. It might even have been better if Paul said he might have the audience fake cheer, too. Just to mess with their brains.

I think maybe the tasks were edited a bit unfortunate for her, as she didn't do well in early episodes and I don't think they filmed the tasks chronologically as they're shown in the series. The order of the tasks in the show itself might have been a huge disadvantage for her at the start.

The shoes with ham hocks is really scary to me. In B.C. Canada where I live we’ve been getting 13 individual shoes washing up on beaches with human foot bones in them since about 2007. Turns out when bodies decompose the athletic shoes will float to the surface with bones still in them. People were scared there was a serial killer out there. Almost all cases have been solved and I don’t think any were murders but it was a very creepy mystery.

Fun fact about the first task: series 10 of the UK version and this NZ series were filmed and aired around the same time. They both did a similar task by coincidence edit: I know that the UK takes from NZ a bunch, but they only do it after NZ airs their series with the task. I think it was confirmed that they did the same thing independent of each other.

They repeated the hold the milk bottles over the microwave task as well on TMUK S14 and in TMNZ S2. TMNZ episode of that task aired before TMUK.

@@maximw9362 The writers for NZ only wrote original tasks for the show, they didn't take anything from the UK version. As their version was filmed before the pandamic, and S10 was aired after, yes it was a coincidence. And this isn't the only time. Paul Williams said on the podcast that they actually wrote a task to make the house haunted, but S11 came out before filming NZ2, so they scrapped it as the UK managed to do it first.

Angella is a ray of gallows comedy sunshine and I adore her. Loved the open-endedness of the two-part tools task, and the leaves task was one of the best I've seen on this program or UK so far. In the live task, I was beginning to wonder whether the toaster was even plugged in. Also very fun!

"Fun" fact: In most modern toasters, the compartment is spring-loaded such that the bread won't stay down at all on its own. What holds the bread down during the toasting is an electromagnet that's stronger that the spring. If the toaster isn't plugged in, the electromagnet has no power, and the bread will pop up immediately when the handle is released. ...unless the toaster is rigged, which *would* be a very Taskmaster thing to do.
