Excellent footage of the eels beneath the Lake Rotoiti jetty, and yes, people do feed them. They're quite fond of raw eggs. It was also great to see you doing something I haven't; the eternal flame tour wasn't running for a time - I'd heard he was trying to sell it - but it was great to see it going, and I'd love to check it out too. And Kapiti is one trip I've yet to make.

Hey mate, I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos! These were made at my early stages of learning but I’m still proud of how they turned out. The eternal flame 🔥 was well worth it, kinda quirky but cool. Interesting to know about the Eels, no wonder they congregate there!

Brilliant work, I need to return to New Zealand to heal my soul for sure, and this time with my young family in tow. Mind if I ask what camera/equipment you used to produce these videos?

New Zealand is an amazing place, we welcome you back!! It was mostly shot just on my iPhone XS and GoPro 7 with a couple of shots using my DJI Spark drone.. I’ve since bought a Rode shotgun mic to clip onto my iPhone which will be featured in later videos (cuts out most of the wind noise).

Awesome video guys we are about to return home after living in the UK for 25years and plan to do a trip similar to yours. Would you be able to this with a caravan in oppose to a motorhome?

Good time to be back here in NZ! Yeah you could definitely do it in a caravan, you’ll find some of the freedom camping spots will have length restrictions but there are plenty of decent low cost campgrounds that would take in a caravan!
