I had a ponderosa tree, but sadly it died. I’m going to look for another one next year. I currently have two meyer and one variegated eureka lemon tree. My meyer’s are producing fruit for the first time, and I’m looking forward to tasting it. 😋

Hi Charles. I live near Greenville, NC and have followed you for 3 years now. Because of my climate, I raise the Lemons in 25 gal containers. When the temperature falls to around 45 degrees in the fall, I have taken them into the garage. I have used both your wash and fertilizer products, leaf spray, trunk wash and fertilizer. I have had poor fortune in getting any fruit production at all. I have had nice stem growth and greenery. Each year they have started out with nice blooms and even a couple of tiny lemons attempting to grow, but the late April frosts destroyed any possibility of fruit production. This year I am going to attempt to leave them inside the garage until June before bringing them outside. Both my Meyer lemon and Myer lime trees died this year despite the care. My Eureka has survived but has yet to produce any fruit. I do also have a blood orange and mandarin orange tree that have come through fine and have had a little production, but not more than 10 pieces of fruit and this year only one. Since this is the third year I saw where you mentioned in one of your videos about pruning the root ball. I am a little leery of attempting this as I have lost so much investment in buying all of these and buying the products to help prevent them from getting disease or damage. Is there any concern about having the root ball exposed? Do I shake out all the dirt and soak it in a bath for a day or two before attempting to prune the root system back? Do i need to be concerned when I replenish the new soil that I get the root ball filled in as much as possible with the new soil?

thanks for your video i live in the Willamette valley in Oregon and have greenhouse number 2 being built as i have over 80 citrus trees (love to collect those new varieties) i'am in zone 8b and have some citrus growing outdoors.

Hello Dianna 👋 I was hoping to see your citrus collection on your KZbin channel- you should seriously consider sharing your projects & sharing what is possible! I got a message this AM from a friend in Texas zone 8b and I assured him that you can plant in-ground with proper care the 1st couple years (and winter night temps that don’t dip too low below freezing). i have had garden tours at my place (2 acres) a natural creek threw the property. i have a mini farm with goats, peacocks, guinea fowl, geese, ducks and chickens. i landscape with fruit trees, bushes and plants that are edible. not sure how to do videos and very busy (that's the way i like it) i'am not a tech person.

Hi, how do you get rid of caterpillars that are eating and residing on healthy trees leaving the branches with black/ ashy residues? I’m struggling to get rid of these pests

Is it true that on the first year of my baby Meyer lemon trees when they bloom flowers and then they all fall and there’s tiny little green lemons formed on the tree I have to cut them off so all the energy can go to the trunk or should I leave them on there thank you and happy holidays 🙏🏼

You're not required to do that, but your patience will likely be rewarded greatly in the following years as your tree will have a stronger trunk and limbs and be more productive. That said, I don't think it would hurt anything to let the fruit grow out if you really want to do that. More than likely, many of the fruits will fall off the weaker limbs as the fruits grow faster than the limbs grow stronger.

HI, I have alot of ants in my soil of my fruit trees. I have a Meyer Lemon, a Cherry , and Apricot tree. Ants are in them and I mean a lot of ants. They look like harvester ants, they are carrying white stuff or just ants I don't know what they are. HOW DO I get rid of them if they are harming my trees? I put some DE on the top of the soil but I don't know if it worked.

They are probably harvesting the honeydew from aphids. DE on top of the soil in a ring around the tree should eventually stop them, but it may take a few days or longer. Inspect the tree for aphids and if you find any you can spray them off. But if the aphids don't seem to be doing much damage I wouldn't worry about them, and the ants themselves aren't doing any damage to your trees. If you allow enough time you may be able to build up a healthy population of predators that are drawn to eating the aphids. It's a good idea to plant native flowering plants nearby as well to attract beneficial insects.
