DHAL in 10 mins?!! | Breakfast, Bucc-ee's & Trini Bhaji

Hi lovely people! Welcome back!
Today's vlog is from May 6th-8th. It starts off with a Saturday morning #Trinidoubles, then a rainy Sunday morning car #mukbang at #jackinthebox, which was followed by a trip to Bucc-ee's- a LARGE gas station/convenience store. It ends with me making a quick 30 minute Vegan menu of Brown Rice, Dhal & Bhaji (cooked by my mom and reheated by me 🤣). I ended it off by using up some really overripe bananas to make waffles for my lil guy. Hope you enjoy!

Buc-ees is a total Texas experience. I live not to far from there and yes, we have had lots of rain but summer is kicking in. My hubby is a Trini and I'm a Texas native...go figure, but it works! We enjoy Trini food.

In fiji we chaunkay dhal in ghee n fry small cubed oinions garlic with sarso jeera methi curry leaves and also add lemon juice. We also add a bit saijjan bhaji.

I normally put garlic onion pepper, and my Trini blend green seasoning, I use my instant pot all the time, use today to make yellow rice lol, yesterday was callaloo lol

@TasteofTrini 26:08 yeah girl, that rim was the bane of my existence cuz I was trying all kinda things but only getting stress and therapy, but I finally found a solution: pipe cleaners (from the craft store) and/or a brush to clean straws, together with some dawn powerwash....instantpot will be looking brand new you'll be vex you going to cook to dirty it again.

My mom said they call tumeric is called saffron in Grenada. She is also indian and black this is how my mom would make dahl. Thank you I don't put pepper in my Dahl because the children eat it. I know my ex partner is Bengali. They give the children them pepper in the food. But not my children
